On the 7th of October, in support of NUS World Food Week, NUS Sado Club held an event, Japanese Tea Ceremony X Matcha Cafe, at the open space on the first floor of AS 8 at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. We were able to showcase the art of Japanese Tea Ceremony to many passers-by, both students and staff alike, and served pay-what-you-want matcha and mochi. On two consecutive Saturdays, 24 Sept and 1 Oct, we hosted SIT-ICT SMC’s Japanese Tea Ceremony demonstration and hands-on workshop, where participants were able to experience Tea Ceremony as a guest, as well as learn how to make matcha on their own. Photos courtesy of SIT-ICT SMC.
