Firstly, we would like to welcome all freshies who have indicated their interest in us 🙂 For your information, we will be present at the Japanese Studies Society’s welcome tea for a short presentation about our club on Wednesday, 14th August 2013. We will be having our own welcome tea (we take pride in being the only club in NUS that can literally offer you a welcome tea) on Friday, 16th August 2013, and probably on one or two subsequent Fridays to accommodate those who are unable to make it. More details on our welcome tea to be our by next week.
We will also be having our Grandmaster’s annual visit on 22nd to 24th August. Members and Alumni members alike are invited to join us for Okeiko. Do note that there will be a tea ceremony event on Friday 23rd August, so there will not be any Okeiko then, as we will be busy assisting Oiemoto sensei with the event.
We will also be introducing a new membership pricing structure from this semester onwards.
Membership fees per semester are as follows:
JSS member – $12
Non JSS member – $15
Club alumni member – $12
“New” alumni member (ex NUS student new to the club) – $15
As per previous years, this money will go towards sweets for members to enjoy, as well as miscellaneous practice expendables.
