We will be doing a short presentation during NUS Japanese Studies Society’s welcome tea. You may register your interest with us on that day itself.
For this academic year, we will be adding Wednesday to our usual Friday and Saturday alumni sessions, to cater to a larger pool of students interested in practicing with us as well as those with consistent timetable clashes with our usual Friday sessions. Members are free to come on any of the days, or all if they wish to. We hope that this seemingly minor addition will provide greater flexibility to both new and current members.
In anticipation of Oiemoto’s visit, we will officially commence our first session for this academic year on Wednesday, 15th August and our first alumni session on Sunday, 19th August (Hari Raya public holiday). Those interested (new prospective members included) are free to join us. We will be open on Friday 17th August, but we may tentatively end our session early in preparation for the JSS welcome tea presentation later that evening.
There will not be any tea ceremony lessons on Wednesday, 22nd August. For both that day and the following Thursday 23rd August, we will be closing the room to clean and prepare for Oiemoto’s visit.
In the meanwhile, feel free to peruse our new resources section, where we will post e-resources and other related links to the art of tea ceremony.
PS: Apparently JSS changed their poster due to some issues, so here is the updated one.
